Professor Armando Oliveira is Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy Research at INEGI, an interface research institute of the University of Porto. He coordinated and participated in more than 20 EU-funded R&D projects on sustainable energy systems and has published more than 200 scientific papers international journals, books and conferences, related to energy systems and in particular solar energy.

Professor Oliveira is a member of the Editorial Board of several journals including: International Journal of Low Carbon Technologies; International Journal of Ambient Energy; Journal of Building Engineering; Future Cities and Environment; and Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering.
