Goonda Raj In Guwahati? Goons Beat Up Hotel Staff Over a Roll

The chef of a hotel in Guwahati was beaten up simply because he was late in serving a roll that few men had ordered. The incident took place on the night of December 30, 2020. Here is what happened -- About 6 men barged into the kitchen of the hotel and started abusing the kitchen staff. The chef requested the men to leave the kitchen as outsiders are not allowed in hotel or restaurant kitchens due to safety and hygiene issues. The men who had walked out of a bar and was in an inebriated state started hitting the chef. Other staff members tried to intervene, but they too were beaten up. The chef had to get at least 10 stitches on his head as he was injured badly. A case has been filed at the Dispur Police station. The hotel management and staff has alleged police inaction as even after three days no arrest has been made. The management and staff of the hotel staged a protest on Saturday outside the Dispur Police station.
