Slew of investigations, allegations consume sports world this week

It's been a rough time in the world of sports as a slew of investigations and allegations against players such as Von Miller, Josh Giddey, and Cristiano Ronaldo have consumed the week.

Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller turned himself in to police in a Dallas suburb on Thursday after he was charged in a warrant with domestic violence against the mother of his children, who is pregnant, police said.

Meanwhile, police in Newport Beach, California, have confirmed that an investigation has begun in response to online claims that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey was in a relationship with a minor.

Lastly, Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has been hit with a billion dollar class-action lawsuit over his role in promoting cryptocurrency-related “non-fungible tokens,” or NFTs, issued by the beleaguered cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
